On August 29th, the Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP) will host the annual International Contact Conference and Expo (ICCE) in Cebu. With the contact center industry increasing each year, it is essential to choose an ideal location to host this extravaganza annually. The year 2012 ended with the call center industry producing $8.7 billion in revenues, displaying an 18 percent growth and a 19 percent increase in employment. Success is a trend that is sure to stay with this industry, as proclaimed by CCAP president Benedict Hernandez.
Hernandez also said that hosting this conference in Cebu will further extend the spotlight on Cebu as a call center hub, boasting that the city has the infrastructure, talent, and supportive local government to secure the increasing industry.
This year’s conference will include CEO roundtable discussions expected to be well attended by local and global contact centers. This year’s event will include world-class experts and speakers such as Professor Dr. Bernardo Billegas hailing from the University of Asia and the Pacific; President of First Metro Investment Corp. Roberto Juanchito Dispo; the President for human resources at Sitel-Asiavice Haidee Enriquez; CCAP director and Expert Global Solutions President Bong Borja; and the president of CCAP, Benedict Hernandez.
CCAP chairman Roberto David says that 62 CEOS from over 90 global and local centers have already confirmed attendance. Over 900 participants representing Manila and foreign delegates are expected, which leaves over 1600 slots for those from Cebu. David has high hopes that Cebu will send “its best and brightest.”
The ICCE will discuss topics such as industry issues, trends and forecasts, new markets and technology innovations, and workforce training and development programs. With the industry on an uphill climb already, this week’s conference should only reinforce that growth.
